Montlluís walled town preserved impeccably. This wall was built shortly after the Treaty of the Pyrenees (1659) when part of the Cerdanya and other nearby territories were annexed to France. The walled town of Montlluís belongs to a group of 12 fortifications of the French state declared World Heritage by UNESCO.
